The monks will explain briefly the value of making art that is not intended to be permanent and we will replicate a little of the butter sculpture tradition using play dough. Enjoy this playful and colorful event.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"font_7 wixui-rich-text__text\"><span class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">From 11:30 &#8211; 12:30 pm \u2014 <\/span><span class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">We will sit for a short meditation, followed by mesmerizing chanting, and questions and answers sessions on Buddhist philosophy or questions from the heart.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"font_7 wixui-rich-text__text\"><span class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\"><span class=\"wixGuard wixui-rich-text__text\">\u200b<\/span><\/span><span class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\">Selected Tibetan handicraft items will also be offered for purchase on a table outside of the hall until 1 pm.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>All proceeds supporting the Drepung Gomang Monastery, more than 2000 monks &amp; refugees living in exile in India. Please donate as you can by cash or checks to TDGC upon arrival.
